What a couple of weeks of hip-hop we’ve had! With shots fired on “Like That” (or subtlely or not so over the years), things really culminated earlier this month with the rapid back and forth between rappers Kendrick Lamar and Drake.

Lamar’s “Not Like Us” has quickly spread like wildfire leaving a wake of destruction (possibly of Drake’s career) and nodding heads with the beef popping up seeminky everywhere in pop-culture and social media.

I even heard it one day while out walking the dog as a car existing my building blasted the track. Later that day, I’d call Teves Freitas, a local creative and emcee, who we last caught up with in episode 04 of the podcast.

As we talked about it, we realized there was alot to say, and with that…
